Council Bluffs Party Bus & Charter Bus Service
Party Buses Des Moines has been moving groups across Iowa and the Missouri River corridor since 2011. Whether you're planning a casino night for thirty people between Harrah's and Ameristar, shuttling wedding guests through the Bayliss Park neighborhood, or running corporate transfers between the Mid-America Center and an Omaha hotel, we've done it hundreds of times and know exactly what it takes to keep things on schedule. Our 24/7 reservation team is one call away at 515-416-4410 — tell us your headcount, your stops, and your date, and we'll match you with the right vehicle from our fleet at an all-inclusive price in under 30 seconds.
You'll know the exact number before you ever book. No hidden costs, no surprises at the curb.
Council Bluffs is a different logistical animal than a lot of Iowa cities. You're dealing with two downtown grids, two states, and the I-80 Missouri River bridges — traffic patterns that frustrate out-of-town groups every weekend. We've run the casino loops, the Omaha concert shuttles, the Eppley Airfield runs at 5 a.m., and the summer event crawls when every parking garage in a three-mile radius is charging a premium.
Renting a bus in Council Bluffs means none of that lands on your group. Call 515-416-4410 any time.

Group Transportation in Council Bluffs Made Easy
Council Bluffs and the Omaha metro aren't the same city on a map, but your group will be crossing the Iowa–Nebraska state line multiple times on almost any night out — and coordinating that in separate cars is a reliable way to lose half the group at the I-480 interchange. Party Buses Des Moines handles the routing, the Missouri River bridge traffic, and the casino drop-off sequencing so your group moves as one unit the entire night.
We've been coordinating group transportation since 2011, which means we know things like: the Ameristar valet lane gets backed up on Friday nights around 9 p.m., the Mid-America Center's preferred bus approach from S. 24th Street saves ten minutes over the front lot approach, and Eppley Airfield's ground transportation pickup is on the lower level of the main terminal on the Omaha side — details that matter when your group's itinerary has hard start times. Our 24/7 reservation team is always one call away at 515-416-4410, instant online pricing takes under 30 seconds, and ADA-accessible vehicles are always available on request. We offer a wide variety of vehicles, so you never have to pay for seats you don't actually need.
That combination — local knowledge, transparent pricing, and a fleet that covers every group size — is why groups across southwest Iowa keep coming back.
Group Transportation Services We Offer in Council Bluffs
Party Buses Des Moines handles group transportation for every occasion in Council Bluffs and across the Omaha metro. From casino nights and casino-to-concert multi-stop runs to wedding shuttles, prom groups, corporate shuttles, and airport transfers — whatever brings your group together here, we have a vehicle and a plan. Call 515-416-4410 to get your group moving today!

Council Bluffs Airport Shuttles & Transportation
Eppley Airfield (OMA) (4501 Abbott Dr, Omaha, NE 68110) sits roughly 8 miles from most Council Bluffs hotels — a quick shot across the Missouri River via I-480, under 15 minutes in normal traffic but significantly longer during morning rush or when I-480 stacks at the interchange. For groups flying in together, trying to pull everyone through baggage claim and into a rideshare queue that reads a nine-minute wait before the app updates it to twenty-two is its own headache. A Council Bluffs airport shuttle bus takes care of it cleanly: your group gathers on the lower-level arrivals curb, the bus meets them there, and everyone loads into one vehicle for the drive into Iowa.
No splitting the party across four Lyfts and then trying to regroup at the hotel. We also run pre-dawn departure pickups for early morning flights — our reservation team books around the clock, so a 4:30 a.m. airport run is exactly as easy to arrange as a noon departure. Call 515-416-4410 for a free quote.

Council Bluffs Bachelor & Bachelorette Transportation
Council Bluffs is one of the best setups in the Midwest for a bachelor or bachelorette trip — three casino resorts within two miles of each other, and downtown Omaha's Old Market bar district a quick bridge crossing away. The standard night runs Horseshoe, then Ameristar or Harrah's, then crosses the river to Omaha's Old Market for late-night bars along Howard Street. Coordinating that in individual cars means somebody misses the bus at 1 a.m. and everyone else waits in the parking garage wondering who's still at the blackjack table.
A Council Bluffs party bus holds the whole group together, hits every stop on your schedule, and nobody has to draw straws for who drives home. Our 15–50 passenger party buses come with a full-length bar, color-changing LED lighting, and Bluetooth sound — so the bachelorette's playlist is already running when the group piles in. Call 515-416-4410 to build your custom itinerary.

Council Bluffs Birthday, Sweet 16, & Quinceañera Party Bus Rentals
A party bus arrival at your venue is one of the most memorable parts of any Sweet 16 or quinceañera in Council Bluffs — and our 15–50 passenger party buses can be set up with custom color schemes to match your event's theme. Whether the celebration is heading to a reception hall in the Council Bluffs area, a dinner at a restaurant in Omaha's Midtown district, or a night out for adult milestone birthdays that ends at Horseshoe Council Bluffs Casino (2701 23rd Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51501), we'll plan the pickup sequence, the route across the river if needed, and the return — so the guest of honor and their crew are together for every moment. For adult birthday groups ending the night at the Omaha bars, instead of asking guests to navigate the I-480 bridge independently after midnight, the bus keeps everyone on one schedule.
Call 515-416-4410 to plan your Council Bluffs birthday bus rental.

Council Bluffs Concert Transportation & Shuttles
Most of the region's biggest concert venues sit on the Omaha side of the river. CHI Health Center Omaha (455 N 10th St, Omaha, NE 68102) — home to arena-level touring acts — has a managed bus drop-off zone on 10th Street, but parking a car near the arena on show nights means either paying $20–$35 in a managed lot or accepting a multi-block walk. Steelhouse Omaha (105 Burlington St, Omaha, NE 68102) is a mid-size club venue in the Old Market district where street parking fills well before doors.
For groups coming over from Council Bluffs, a charter bus or party bus drops everyone at the venue entrance and meets the group post-show — no one has to be the designated driver, and no one pays $30 per car. For Council Bluffs–side shows at the Mid-America Center (1 Arena Way, Council Bluffs, IA 51501), the bus parks in the adjacent lot while the group is inside. Party buses with LED lighting and onboard sound keep the energy going from pickup to first song.
Call 515-416-4410!

Council Bluffs Corporate Event Transportation
The Mid-America Center (1 Arena Way, Council Bluffs, IA 51501) hosts conventions, trade shows, and corporate events year-round, and the parking situation along S. 24th Street during a full convention load-in can bring traffic on Kanesville Boulevard to a near stop. A Council Bluffs corporate bus rental sidesteps all of it — your team boards from the hotel lobby, the route is handled, and everyone arrives at the same time with gear intact. For cross-river corporate events at the CHI Health Center or the Omaha Convention Center, the I-480 Missouri River bridge runs smoothly outside rush hour but turns into a genuine bottleneck between 7:30 and 9 a.m. — a minibus with WiFi and power outlets keeps the team productive during the wait.
Executive Sprinter vans handle smaller VIP transfers with premium leather seating. Call 515-416-4410 to set up a corporate shuttle contract.

Council Bluffs Private Event Transportation Services
Council Bluffs' event calendar has a handful of dates when parking and traffic in the river corridor genuinely become painful. Celebrate Council Bluffs — the city's annual summer festival at Tom Hanafan River's Edge Park (2-197 Willow Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51501) — draws large crowds to the riverfront amphitheater, and the Willow Avenue approach stacks up quickly when the main lot fills. A private charter bus drops your group at the park entrance, skips the lot entirely, and meets the group when the fireworks end.
Family reunions, church retreats, and large-scale graduation gatherings work the same way — one vehicle, one pickup, one flat rate, and nobody gets separated in a parking lot scramble. For multi-stop itineraries that cross the river — from a Council Bluffs venue to an Omaha dinner to a late-night casino stop — the bus covers every leg without the caravan headache. Call 515-416-4410 to build your itinerary.

Council Bluffs Homecoming & Prom Party Bus Rentals
Prom season runs late April through May across the Council Bluffs metro, with schools including Abraham Lincoln High School and Thomas Jefferson High School typically scheduling their events within the same short spring window — which means the regional bus fleet gets fully committed fast. Book by December to lock in your date at the best price. A typical 6-hour prom rental for 30 students — school pickup, a pre-prom photo stop at Bayliss Park or along the Missouri River riverfront, venue drop-off, and a post-prom return — runs $1,800–$2,200 when booked 4–6 months early but climbs to $2,800–$3,500 or more when booked in April.
Party Buses Des Moines works directly with parent committees and student groups across southwest Iowa to coordinate pickup windows, photo-stop timing, and post-event returns. ADA-accessible vehicles are available on every booking — just request one when you call 515-416-4410.

Council Bluffs School Event & Field Trip Transportation
Teachers and chaperones across Council Bluffs and the Pottawattamie County school district trust Party Buses Des Moines for field trip transportation because we're available 24/7 and can handle school-size groups without the logistics falling on the teacher. Whether it's a class trip to the Western Historic Trails Center (3434 Richard Downing Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51501) — which traces the Lewis and Clark, Mormon, and Oregon Trails — or a longer run across the river to the Durham Museum in Omaha's Union Station, our charter buses handle the routing, the baggage, and the group headcount so the teachers can focus on the kids. Charter buses include overhead storage for backpacks and lunchboxes, TV monitors and DVD players for the ride out, and onboard restrooms for longer trips that prevent roadside pit stops from eating into exhibit time.
ADA-accessible buses are available on every booking. Call 515-416-4410 to reserve your school field trip bus in Council Bluffs.

Council Bluffs Sporting Event Transportation
The closest major-league stadium action is across the river at Charles Schwab Field Omaha (1200 Mike Fahey St, Omaha, NE 68102) — home of the NCAA College World Series each June and the AAA Omaha Storm Chasers. During the College World Series, parking in the North Downtown Omaha neighborhoods sells out weeks in advance, cash-only lots pop up on every available surface, and the I-480 bridge backs up hours before first pitch. A Council Bluffs charter bus rental handles the cross-river run, drops your group at the stadium's designated bus unloading zone on Mike Fahey Street, and meets everyone after the final out — no $40 cash-only lot, no 20-minute post-game walk to a rideshare pickup.
For CHI Health Center Omaha arena events including Creighton Bluejays basketball, the approach from the Iowa side via I-480 West to 10th Street is the cleanest route on game nights. Call 515-416-4410 to reserve your Council Bluffs sporting event bus rental.

Council Bluffs Wedding Transportation & Shuttle Service
A Council Bluffs wedding shuttle ensures your guests arrive at the ceremony and reception without navigating the Iowa–Nebraska state line in formal wear, especially when the venue is on one side of the river and the hotel is on the other. If you're hosting a reception at a Council Bluffs venue like the Mid-America Center or a private event space along the riverfront, a shuttle loop from an Omaha hotel via the I-480 bridge keeps the timeline intact even when out-of-town guests don't know the area. Nobody in your wedding party should be navigating Kanesville Boulevard or the South 24th Street interchange after a reception.
Because Party Buses Des Moines has been coordinating group transportation since 2011, your wedding timeline stays tight with clear pickup windows and a single point of contact from first quote to final drop-off. A 14-passenger Sprinter limo is the natural fit for the bridal party on the wedding day itself. Call 515-416-4410 for a free wedding transportation quote.

Council Bluffs Winery Tour & Pub Crawl Transportation
The Loess Hills wine corridor runs north from Council Bluffs along the Missouri River bluffs — one of Iowa's most distinctive wine-growing regions, where producers like Harvest Moon Winery (16183 M Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51503) and nearby producers in the Pottawattamie County hills offer tastings and tours along rural county roads that are genuinely tricky to navigate for out-of-towners after dark. A Council Bluffs winery tour bus keeps every stop on schedule, handles the winding bluff-road navigation between producers, and gets everyone back to Council Bluffs at the agreed time — no one trying to remember the way back on County Road M49 after three tastings. Add a post-tour stop at one of the casino resort bars or cross the river for a nightcap in Omaha's Old Market, and the bus covers every leg.
Your group stays together from the first pour to the last call. Call 515-416-4410 for a free quote!

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Council Bluffs Party Bus Rentals
How much does a party bus cost in Council Bluffs?
Council Bluffs party bus rental prices vary based on vehicle size, date, and how long you need the bus. Our pricing: 14-passenger Sprinter limos run $170–$344/hour; 15–20 passenger party buses run $204–$378/hour; 20–30 passenger party buses run $244–$414/hour; 35–50 passenger party buses and minibuses run $294–$490/hour; and 40–56 passenger charter buses run $150–$300/hour or $1,200–$2,500/day. Casino nights and New Year's Eve weekend see demand spike fastest in this market, so those dates price higher and book out earliest.
Call 515-416-4410 any time for a free, all-inclusive quote with no hidden costs — or use our online tool for a price in under 30 seconds.
Can the bus cross the Iowa–Nebraska state line?
Yes — cross-river runs between Council Bluffs and Omaha are among our most common trips. The bus crosses via I-480 or I-80 depending on your destination and the time of day, dropping your group at Omaha venues, hotels, and the airport, then returning to Iowa on your schedule. All cross-state logistics are coordinated when you book.
Just tell us your stops and we'll plan the route.
Where do buses drop off at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs?
The Mid-America Center (1 Arena Way, Council Bluffs, IA 51501) has a surface lot directly adjacent to the facility off S. 24th Street. Buses approach from S. 24th Street to the main lot entrance and can unload passengers curbside near the arena entrance before the bus waits in the lot. For major events with heavy traffic on Kanesville Boulevard, approaching from S. 24th Street rather than the Willow Avenue side saves meaningful time.
We recommend reviewing the official Mid-America Center parking page before your event for current lot assignments.
How does airport pickup work at Eppley Airfield (OMA) for a Council Bluffs group?
Commercial ground transportation at Eppley Airfield (OMA) picks up from the lower level of the main terminal building on the arrivals curb. Once your full group has collected luggage and assembled at the agreed lower-level door, your group coordinator contacts our team to confirm the bus moves to the commercial vehicle lane. The drive from the lower-level curb to most Council Bluffs hotels via I-480 West runs 15–20 minutes in normal conditions.
Do not call for the bus until everyone in your group is together with luggage — timing is everything at a busy airport curb. Review the official OMA ground transportation page before you land for current commercial lane details.
Which Council Bluffs casino has the best bus access?
Ameristar Casino Resort Spa Council Bluffs (2200 River Rd, Council Bluffs, IA 51501) has the largest parking area and a clearly marked bus and coach drop-off lane near the main entrance off River Road — the easiest approach for large groups. Horseshoe Council Bluffs Casino (2701 23rd Ave) uses the 23rd Avenue entrance with bus staging available in the outer lot. Harrah's Council Bluffs (1 Harrah's Blvd) has a marked valet and group arrival lane off S. Main Street.
Lot assignments and approach roads can shift during peak nights, so we confirm your casino's current drop-off lane for your event date when you book.
How far in advance should I book?
Book at least 3–6 months ahead for the best price and vehicle selection. In Council Bluffs specifically, three stretches fill the fleet fastest: prom season (April–May), New Year's Eve and the holiday casino weekends (late December), and the College World Series in Omaha (mid-June). Waiting until two weeks out during those windows typically means premium pricing or no availability at the vehicle size you need.
For most other dates, 2–4 weeks works — but the earlier you call at 515-416-4410, the better your options.
Popular Council Bluffs Party Bus Destinations
A Council Bluffs party bus itinerary can span Iowa and Nebraska in the same night. From the casino resorts along River Road to the Loess Hills wine corridor and the riverfront parks, here are the destinations our groups visit most — with the logistical details that matter when you're coordinating a group.

Ameristar Casino Resort Spa Council Bluffs
Ameristar Casino Resort Spa (2200 River Rd, Council Bluffs, IA 51501) is the largest resort property in the Council Bluffs casino corridor — a 160-acre complex with a 38,000-square-foot casino floor, two hotels, five restaurants, a full-service spa, and a marina. Bus access is straightforward off River Road, with a marked group drop-off lane near the main entrance and ample parking for oversized vehicles in the outer lot. On Friday and Saturday nights, the valet lane backs up by 9 p.m., which is the exact window your bus sidesteps by using the outer drop-off route.
The complex stays open 24 hours, making it a natural anchor stop for casino crawls that start earlier in the evening at one of the neighboring properties.
Address: 2200 River Rd, Council Bluffs, IA 51501
Phone: (712) 328-8888

Horseshoe Council Bluffs Casino
Horseshoe Council Bluffs (2701 23rd Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51501) — formerly Harrah's Bluffs Run Casino before the Caesars rebranding — is a 44,000-square-foot casino property with a full hotel tower and a nationally recognized poker room that draws serious players from across the Midwest. The 23rd Avenue entrance handles bus arrivals with staging available in the west parking lot. Unlike Ameristar's resort scale, Horseshoe runs a tighter, more focused casino operation — less resort space, more floor action — which makes it a fast-in, fast-out stop on a multi-casino itinerary.
The property is roughly 1.5 miles north of Ameristar along the casino corridor, easy to sequence when you're running a casino loop with the bus holding the group between stops.
Address: 2701 23rd Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51501

Mid-America Center
The Mid-America Center (1 Arena Way, Council Bluffs, IA 51501) is Council Bluffs' primary event and arena facility — a 6,000-seat multipurpose venue that hosts concerts, monster truck events, trade shows, conventions, and Iowa Heartlanders hockey games. The arena sits just off S. 24th Street at the south edge of the riverfront development zone, with a surface lot directly adjacent and Kanesville Boulevard as the main approach corridor. On high-attendance nights, the Kanesville Boulevard approach from the east backs up well before event time.
Buses coming from the interstate use the S. 24th Street approach to avoid the worst of the surface street congestion. Group and convention shuttles between the Mid-America Center and Omaha hotels are among our most common corporate runs in this market.
Address: 1 Arena Way, Council Bluffs, IA 51501

Tom Hanafan River's Edge Park
Tom Hanafan River's Edge Park (2-197 Willow Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51501) stretches along the east bank of the Missouri River at the foot of the old Council Bluffs bluffs — 60-plus acres of riverfront green space anchored by an outdoor amphitheater that hosts the Celebrate Council Bluffs summer festival and a regular calendar of outdoor concerts and events. The park's Willow Avenue entrance feeds into a surface lot that fills on festival nights well before headliners take the stage. During Celebrate Council Bluffs in July, the lot is at capacity by late afternoon and the Willow Avenue approach sees steady backup.
A bus drops your group at the park entrance, skips the lot hunt entirely, and meets the group post-fireworks when everyone's ready to leave on the same schedule instead of trickling back to separate cars over 45 minutes.
Address: 2-197 Willow Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51501
Phone: (712) 328-4650

Western Historic Trails Center
The Western Historic Trails Center (3434 Richard Downing Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51501) is a federally operated interpretive center at the confluence of the Lewis and Clark, Mormon Pioneer, California, and Oregon Trails — four of the most significant overland migration routes in American history all passed through or near Council Bluffs, and the center tells that story through exhibits, artifacts, and a 26-foot-wide panoramic mural. The facility sits at the south end of Council Bluffs near the I-80 corridor, with accessible bus parking in the adjacent lot off Richard Downing Avenue. School groups represent a large share of the center's visitors, and the bus-accessible layout makes loading and unloading straightforward.
Group visits benefit from advance reservations — contact the center for ranger-led programs and timed access for large groups.
Address: 3434 Richard Downing Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51501

Bayliss Park
Bayliss Park sits at the center of historic downtown Council Bluffs — a full city block of landscaped green space at 100 Pearl St bounded by Pearl Street, 1st Avenue, and the surrounding downtown retail and dining grid. The park anchors the Council Bluffs downtown district and serves as the go-to backdrop for pre-prom and wedding party photos, as well as the staging area for downtown events and festivals. Street parking along Pearl Street and 1st Avenue is metered and fills quickly during weekend events.
A bus drops the group at the park perimeter, waits nearby on the adjacent streets, and returns when photo sessions or pre-event dinners at the surrounding downtown restaurants wrap up. The proximity to Council Bluffs City Hall and the historic Carnegie Library building makes it one of the most photographed spots in the city for formal events.
Address: 100 Pearl St, Council Bluffs, IA 51503
